TURKEY BURGERS WITH ASIAN SLAW

Ingredients
ASIAN SLAW
- 2½ cups cabbage, shredded
- ¼ small red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ carrot, grated
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- Salt & pepper, to taste
PATTY
- 1 pound ground turkey (85/15)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced 1-inch
- piece ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons hoisin
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sambal oelek
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
ASIAN SLAW
- MIX together the cabbage, onion, carrots, green onions, and cilantro in a large bowl.
- WHISK together the vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- TOSS the vegetables with the vinegar dressing and let the Asian slaw marinate for 30 minutes.
PATTY
- MIX all of the patty ingredients together in a large bowl until combined.
- FORM the turkey mixture into 4 patties and set in the fridge to cool.
- Preheat
- PLACE the turkey patties in the preheated
- COOK for 10 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
- SERVE on buns with Asian slaw
