TURKEY BURGERS  WITH ASIAN SLAW

Ingredients 

ASIAN SLAW

  • 2½ cups cabbage, shredded
  • ¼ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ carrot, grated
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

PATTY

  • 1 pound ground turkey (85/15)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced 1-inch
  • piece ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sambal oelek
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

 

Instructions

 

ASIAN SLAW

  1. MIX together the cabbage, onion, carrots, green onions, and cilantro in a large bowl.
  2. WHISK together the vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. TOSS the vegetables with the vinegar dressing and let the Asian slaw marinate for 30 minutes.

PATTY

  1. MIX all of the patty ingredients together in a large bowl until combined.
  2. FORM the turkey mixture into 4 patties and set in the fridge to cool.
  3. Preheat

  5. COOK for 10 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
  6. SERVE on buns with Asian slaw
